Adam Avery and his father Larry started brewing beer in the early ’90s.
Adam and Larry spent 20 years brewing award-winning beer in a small warehouse before building today’s Avery Brewing Co. in Boulder.
Avery Brewing is a special space where people can come together and connect over craft beer and great food.
They’re known for their incredible flagship Belgian-style White Ale, White Rascal (which you can find at Oakwell Beer Spa!), their remarkable selection of IPA’s, and an impressive barrel-aged series.

Lager, 4.5% ABV, 10 IBU If you enjoy a light, crisp, easy-to-drink beer, this one’s for you! The Stampede Lager is an American-style lager that’s perfect for a peaceful day at the spa. It’s so good it even won a silver medal at the Great American Beer Festival in 2021.

Avery IPA

IPA, 6.5% ABV, 69 IBU As we mentioned, the Avery IPA was the first-ever packaged beer in Colorado. This deliciously fresh and piney-bodied IPA features the aromas of juicy citrus and hoppiness of six different hop varieties. The subtle caramel sweetness of the malts in the Avery IPA brings a refreshing balance, perfect for your spa day!

Ellie’s Brown Ale

Brown Ale, 5.5% ABV, 28 IBU This distinctive American-style brown ale is dominated by chocolate and brown sugar maltiness with hints of vanilla and nuts. It’s smooth, well-balanced, and easy to drink.

January’s Beer Bath Blend at Oakwell Beer Spa

At Oakwell Beer Spa, we offer a one-of-a-kind beer bath experience. During this treatment, you’ll soak in a cedar hydrotherapy tub that’s infused with a crafted blend of hops and barley from one of Avery Brewing Company’s featured beers. Along with the beer ingredients are herbs that provide various wellness benefits. Our beer bath blend is packed with vitamins, nutrients, and antioxidants. This month, the blend consists of Chinook Hops and C-120 Malt from Avery’s IPA, plus soothing olive leaf. This powerful blend is packed with detoxifying properties that reduce redness and inflammation while hydrating your skin and complexion.

Can I really drink beer during my spa treatments?

Absolutely! When you arrive at Oakwell Beer Spa, you get a double-wall insulated, stainless steel tumbler to use in the taproom and in your Beer Therapy™ Room. Our special cups allow your beverage to stay chilled while you relax in the sauna and beer bath. In your Beer Therapy™ Room, you’ll find a robe and slippers in case you need to refill your drink. You can also use our ring bell system, and we’ll fill your tumbler back up for you! The only place we ask you not to take your drink to is the Relaxation Lounge, where you can kick back and enjoy our Zero Gravity Massage chairs.

What spa services do you offer anyways?

Oakwell Beer Spa isn’t just your regular day spa! We offer various unique spa treatments that allow you to relax differently. Our Beer Therapy™ Room features a beer bath, infrared sauna, and rain shower. We also have a Relaxation Lounge with Zero Gravity Massage chairs that offer an incredible full-body massage. If you’re ready for an exciting taproom experience, you’ll love our self-serve beer wall! Best of all, it’s easy to use with these simple steps:

We’ll give you a card that unlocks the taps on the beverage wall when you arrive.
Take a look at our rotating selection of beer, cider, and wine where you can also find tasting notes and the price per ounce for each beverage.
Select your drink, scan your card, and pour as much or little as you’d like.
When you’re ready to check out, bring your card to our reception desk to pay for the ounces you poured.

Can I just stop by for a beer without a spa treatment?

Please do! We welcome everyone to come and enjoy our cozy taproom whether you book a spa treatment or not.

Does Oakwell Beer Spa have anything else to drink besides beer?

We do. We know beer isn’t everyone’s thing, or you may want to change it up, so we offer plenty of drink options. Along with craft beer, you can enjoy wine, cider, kombucha, and tea.
