Fun Facts About Platt Park Brewing Co.

Platt Park Brewing is a brewery and restaurant located in South Denver, Colorado. In 2014, they started offering a craft beer experience that people wouldn’t forget and haven’t stopped since! Let’s check out a few fun facts about this cool Denver brewery.

In 2013, homebrewers Randy Ranking, Colby Ranking, and Brian Ward created Platt Park Brewing Company. It opened the following year.
The brewery is located in an antique setting, once a cash register store, now a vibrant neighborhood meeting spot.
Platt Park holds the Silver Medal in the Vienna-Style Lager Category after entering their Gump’s Vienna Lager in the Great American Beer Festival (GABF).
In 2017, the brewery also opened Gates Deli + Grog, making them a favorite spot for lunch and beers.
Platt Park Brewing strives to make the best traditional and experimental beer for beer drinkers to enjoy on their outdoor deck or trendy tasting room, which showcases recycled building materials.
Not only does Platt Park serve mouthwatering brews, but they also have cocktails, wine, and ciders on their menu.

Helles Lager

Lager, 4.8% ABV This special lager is different from most others with its fuller body and touch of sweetness. The Helles Lager is the perfect balance of a sweet beer with German Hop flavors. It’s pale in color and offers a golden glow with low bitterness and a bread-like malt finish.

Beer Bath Hydrotherapy at Oakwell Beer Spa

Can I really drink beer during my spa treatments?

Of course! When you arrive for your appointment, you’ll receive a double-wall insulated stainless steel tumbler. You can use this to keep your beer cold while you hang out in the taproom and in your private Beer Therapy™ Room. Enjoy your ice-cold beverage while you relax in the sauna, soak in your beer bath, and rinse off in the rain shower. In your private Beer Therapy™ Room, you’ll also find a robe and slippers in case you want to head to the taproom to refill your tumbler during your spa treatments. We also have a ring bell system if you’d rather us fill your cup back up for you. Our Relaxation Lounge, where you can enjoy a Zero Gravity Massage, is the only place we ask that you don’t take your beverage.

What spa services do you offer anyways?

Unlike your traditional day spa, Oakwell Beer Spa offers one-of-a-kind services! These include Beer Bath Hydrotherapy, an Infrared Sauna treatment, and Zero Gravity Massage chairs. You can learn all about these services and our spa day packages here.

How does the self-serve beer wall work?

The self-serve beer wall is one of our most exciting features! This allows you to pour your beverages of choice for yourself. Best of all, it’s easy to use by following these simple steps:

Use the card we’ll give you upon arrival to unlock the taps on the beverage wall.
Check out our rotating selection of Platt Park Brewing beer. We also carry wine and cider if you’re looking for something different. On the beer wall, you’ll also find tasting notes and the price per ounce for each beverage.
Choose your drink, scan your card, and pour any amount you’d like.
When it’s time to check out, you can bring your card to the reception desk and pay for the ounces you poured.

Can I just stop by for a beer without a spa treatment?

Absolutely! We welcome visitors to come in and enjoy a beverage, whether you book a spa service or not. Our cozy taproom is the perfect place to kick back and sip a beer (or a few).

Does Oakwell Beer Spa have anything else to drink besides beer?

Yes, we offer a selection of beverages. We understand everyone isn’t into beer or might be in the mood for something else, so you can also enjoy wine, cider, tea, or kombucha.

Can I hang out in the taproom before and after my treatments?

Please do! Our taproom is open for you to hang out for as little or long as you’d like. You can arrive early or stick around after your spa day to spend time in the taproom with friends, your significant other, or solo.
