While there may be some snow during early spring, it melts during the day as the sun comes out and temperatures warm up.

Denver Cinco de Mayo

If you’re interested in one of the most fun experiences in Denver in spring, it’s celebrating Cinco De Mayo at the Denver Cinco de Mayo Festival. Embrace the Latino culture at this massive celebration on May 4th and 5th at the Civic Center Park. 

The event includes three giant stages with a blend of Latin music performances, including salsa and Cumbia. There’s so much to see and do, including dancing, joining a taco-eating contest, and the infamous lowrider car show.

Meow Wolf is a must-visit if you’re looking for a quirky, memorable experience in Denver. Go on a walk-through art experience in a four-story-high building that showcases fascinating artistic collections, including sculptures, paintings, and digital art from Colorado natives.

The entire space is covered in neon exhibits, from pizza parlor recreations to alien bodegas and so much more. This is no traditional “art museum” experience as visitors come face to face with a slew of exotic situations, including crawl spaces, steep stairways, strobe lights, and fog effects. There’s even magnetic music!

Red Rocks Park and Amphitheater

Collectively deemed as “one of the most beautiful outdoor venues across the US,” the Red Rocks Amphitheater is a must-visit during spring in Denver. The half an hour drive from Downtown Denver is well worth it, even if you can’t attend a show. The space, including the park, is stunning.

Red Rocks has a beautifully designed amphitheater with striking sandstone jetting out from both sides of the main stage, where iconic and up-and-coming musicians and comedians perform.
